A group of diverse hands signifying partnershipThe Career Center system is a partnership between the private sector, not-profit-agencies, and several government agencies.  The purpose   of the partnership is to meet most of an individual's employment and training related needs-all in one location. Additional full-service and limited service locations are planned in the new future.  Listed below are the partners of the Fayette County Career Center system
Employment Services
Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development

Provides employment services to job seekers, employers and veterans, unemployment compensation and basic labor exchange functions of Job Service.

Fayette County Board of Education - Adult Education and Literacy Activities of WIA Title II – Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development
Provides assistance to adults to complete their secondary school education and to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for
employment and self-sufficiency.

Families First – Tennessee Department of Human Services
Provides Welfare Reform TANF services and programs.

Workforce Investment Network – Local Workforce Investment Board 13
Provides training and workforce investment programs to meet the
needs of job seekers, dislocated workers and employers.

Vocational Rehabilitation – Tennessee Deparatment of Human Services
Provides services to help individuals with disabilities to enter or return to employment.

Job Corps -  Recruitment in Tennessee is contracted to a private firm
Provides education and training for disadvantaged youth where the individuals reside and attend classes on a Job Corps campus.

Senior Services – Title V
Provides services to low income level individuals (55 and Over) for unsubsidized employment.

Southwest Tennessee Community College
is a comprehensive, multi-cultural, public, open-access college that offers a broad range of learning opportunities in technical, career, general, transfer, developmental, and continuing education.

Fayette County Chamber of Commerce
Works with the Fayette County Career Center to provide a variety of programs, services and initiatives that promote economic development as a regional chamber.

Tennessee Technology Center at Whiteville
Offers the community a wide variety of Vocational and Technical courses to provide the “can do” skills to help individuals prepare for the workforce.
